Pandemonium
Six Flags over Texas added Pandemonium to the park's coaster lineup in 2008. The four-seater cars freely spin guaranteeing that no two rides will ever be exactly the same. Tight turns, spiraling helixes, and swooping drops are some of Pandemonium's trademarks.
Pandemonium was designed and manufactured by German coaster company Gerstlauer, who also designed the New Texas Giant's trains. Pandemonium stands on the former site of the Wildcatter drop ride on the border of the USA and Boomtown sections.
Past Theme
Originally the ride opened named "Tony Hawk's Big Spin" and featured extreme sports-theming throughout the queue line and ride. In 2010 Six Flags announced it had ceased a number of licensing deals, which included the Tony Hawk theme. The ride's name was shortened to "Big Spin" and the Tony Hawk-themed content was removed.
Six Flags once again changed the name of the ride to Pandemonium in the early 2011 season.

Tony Hawk's Big Spin is an okay coaster. However, it's great when you are facing the opposite way of the track and can't see what's coming next! Not many special elements except for a couple helices. The queue line is well-themed. I like how they have a video of your ride for sale instead of a photo.
MY RATING: 4 stars
