Celebrate the Arts

Six Flags over Texas celebrates local artists as various vocal, dance, and instrumental performers are invited to perform at the park. Want to perform at the park yourself? Go to the official Events page for an application form and guidelines.

Live & Local 2012

Local bands from throughout the DFW area are invited to perform at the park. Occurring regularly throughout the 2012 operating season, park guests can check out these free performances included with park admission. Check out the official site for band schedules.

January Events
Holiday in the Park
Holiday in the Park
The annual Holiday in the Park event concludes in January. It's the last chance to make it to the park before it closes for the season!
March Events
Spring Break-Out Extreme
Six Flags over Texas kicks off its season in March with Spring Break-Out Extreme, a multi-week long event of special extreme games and attractions, in addition to the thrills the park normally provides. The event coincides with school spring break schedules and draws large crowds.
April Events
Festival Latino
In April, the park celebrates Latino culture with Festival Latino. Delicious specialty food and fun events are spread throughout the park.
September Events

Best of Texas Festival
Texas heritage is the subject of this festival in September. Skilled artisans creating woodcarvings, handmade soaps, and souvenirs are scattered throughout the park, which is appropriately decorated for Fall with pumpkins, hay bales, and scarecrows. Specialty foods such as fresh kettle corn, skillet potatoes, and fried green tomatoes are also offered during the festival.

Unfortunately, Six Flags over Texas has cancelled the Best of Texas festival for 2010 and has not stated whether the event will return in the future.

October Events
Fright Fest
Fright Fest
Halloween turns from a one-night holiday into a month-long celebration with the park's Fright Fest, occurring throughout the month of October. Haunted houses and night-walking zombies roam the park's paths, frightening unsuspecting visitors who stay past sunset.
November Events
Holiday in the Park
Holiday in the Park
The park's annual holiday event, Holiday in the Park, kicks off toward the end of November and continues through the beginning of January.
December Events

Six Flags over Texas' holiday tradition is in full-effect throughout the month of December.
