Fright Fest
September 15 - October 31Guests are in for a scare at Fright Fest 2023 at Six Flags over Texas. Each Fall the park turns into a spooky version of itself, complete with decorations, scare zones, themed shows, haunted houses, contests, and more.
2023’s Fright Fest coincides with the returning Oktoberfest Food Festival.
Be sure and read our Rules section before visiting.
Thrills by Day, Chills by Night
During the day, the park offers a family-friendly experience with the Six Flags Kids Boo Fest. Children can trick-or-treat throughout the park, paint pumpkins, participate in a screaming contest, or navigate the hay maze.
However as night falls, The Awakening ritual releases hoards of zombies, ghouls, and other maniacal beasts into the park with one mission: terrifying guests. Specially designated Scare Zones have the highest concentration of terror. The park recommends taking kids 12 and under home before nighttime due to Fright Fest’s intensity.

An Express Pass upcharge lets you skip the lines for haunted houses, while a Season-Long Fright Pass gives 1 trip through every haunted house entry during every park visit through the end of Fright Fest.
How Much do Haunted Attraction Passes Cost?
Just like admission prices, Haunted Attraction Passes prices vary based on projected park attendance, so check out the official site to preview prices and reserve your pass for a specific day.
Regular Fright Passes generally range from $20-45 while the Express Pass add-on is an additional $20 fee.

Fright Fest Rules
Six Flags over Texas strictly enforces these rules during Fright Fest for everyone’s safety and fun. Violating these or other park rules can result in ejection from the park and even criminal prosecutions.
- Guests over 12 cannot wear costumes for safety reasons.
- Enter the park well before sundown to avoid long entry lines
- Park entry and re-entry limitations may be in effect (often no park re-entry after 6pm and no park entry the last hour of operation)
- Weapons or props of any kind are not allowed into the park
- Never touch the roaming scare actors or props in the park or in haunted houses — this is grounds for park ejection!
I went to six flags on october 21 and 22 and saw a show around the Gotham Stage I don’t know what the show was called. It was extreamly loud and had goblins and scary monsters everywhere but the main person looked like a scary conductor or engineer he had very little makeup and was funny and kind. I got a picture with him both days I was there and he said he had remembered us when we showed him from the 21. I think they played limbo but I couldn’t see, I just loved the heavy loud music that they played because I love dubstep music and thats exactly what they played. I am 2 years away from being old enough to work for fright fest and hope I do because I love scary stuff. I know this sounds like an introduction but Im just wanting more experience. Thank You : )
